IHF stands in solidarity with Japan

The IHF has learnt with great sorrow about the tragedy hitting Japan on Tuesday, when a 7.6 magnitude earthquake jolted the region with violent shaking, which devastated the country.

The International Handball Federation and the entire handball family conveys its sincerest sympathies and condolences to the whole country of Japan and the families of the victims, injured and those affected by this natural disaster.

In the face of this tragedy, the world’s solidarity should help Japan to find the strength to recover from this terrible event. Furthermore, we wish that, alongside all citizens, every member of our handball family across Japan are out of harm's way. We sincerely hope for reassuring news from the handball family in Japan.
