Mexico and Guadeloupe maintain perfect record

On day three of the Men’s IHF Trophy North America and the Caribbean in Mexico City, the two leading teams Mexico and Guadeloupe maintained their 100 per cent record, claiming their third straight victories.

Home side Mexico proved too strong for Puerto Rico (45:26) and Guadeloupe were even more dominant in their match against Dominica (53:14). USA bounced back from their defeat against Guadeloupe on Wednesday, beating Canada 29:22 in the North American derby.

With two matches left, Mexico and Guadeloupe lead the race with six points, followed by USA, who are on four points. Canada are currently fourth with two points, while Puerto Rico and Dominica have lost all their games so far.

On Friday, Puerto Rico and Dominica face each other at 14:00 (local time), with each side hoping to earn their maiden points. At 16:00, Guadeloupe face Canada, and like on the previous days, the hosts Mexico will play the last match of the day at 18:00, this time against USA. And if both leaders win again, everything will be decided in their mutual encounter on Saturday.
