Rehabilitation and prevention of injuries in handball

Tomorrow, 8 December at 14:00 CET, Professor Grethe Myklebust presents ‘Rehabilitation and prevention of injuries’ as the next lecture in the ongoing IHF Medical Webinar Series.

Prof. Myklebust is a sports physiotherapist and a former top national level handball player in Norway. She is currently professor of rehabilitation and prevention at the Oslo Sports Trauma Research Center at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences.

Her primary research area is related to handball and football injuries, especially in the shoulder, knee and ankle, and injury prevention. Her lecture will have a special focus on knee (ACL) and shoulder injuries.

Prof. Myklebust has also served as team physiotherapist for the Norwegian women’s national handball, football and beach volleyball teams for two decades. Her experience also includes Norway Olympic team physiotherapist at the Summer Olympic Games in Seoul 1988 and Sydney 2000.

The seminar is free to attend and can be joined via Zoom, where translation is available into Arabic, French and Spanish.
