Ahead of today's preliminary group matches at the 2019 IHF Men's Youth World Championship in Skopje, North Macedonia, a number of teams have made player changes.

Argentina coach Fernando Capurro has made his first change of the competition, swapping goalkeepers, with Enzo Lionel Ferrando coming in for Fausto Vazquez Palmieri. Ferrando plays for Dorrego in Argentina and has appeared 24 times for his nation.

Host nation North Macedonia have also made their first change, with coach Danilo Brestovac bringing in left wing Gligor Gajikj for centre back Boban Kakovski. Gajikj plays his club handball for the second team of HC Metalurg and has yet to play for his country.

Nabil Ahmed has made a double change for Saudi Arabia with left wing Ali Qaesar Almohsen replacing back court player Sajad Ossama Alshuwaikhat and goalkeepers swapping, with Jehad Hussain Abualwah coming in for Ibrahim Aljudaiee Mohammed.

Both incoming players have yet to make their debut for their national team with Abualwah playing his club handball for Noor Club and Almohsen playing for Muheet Club.

The third team to change is Japan with coach Shinnosuke Uematsu bringing in the University of Tsukuba centre back Yota Sato for right wing Mizuki Kajiyama. Sato has played 13 times for Japan, scoring 17 times.
