Cape Verde set for Champion Clubs start

After the draw was completed recently, the CAHB African Championship of Champion Clubs – also known as the African Champions League will throw-off tomorrow in Chã de Areia, Praia, Cape Verde.

Nine of the very best African women’s teams and 10 men's teams are aiming to win the prestigious continental title which will run from 4-13 October.

Two venues will be used – the Pavilhao Desportivo Vava Duarte and Polydesportivo Bairro Craveiro Lopes – with the official opening ceremony taking place tomorrow at 1700hrs in the Pavilhao Desportivo Vava Duarte.

The 41st edition of the event will see Egypt’s Zamalek look to defend their men’s title won last year with the Angolan women’s team Primeiro de Agosto hoping to retain their crown too.
