Since their first appearance at the IHF Men's World Championship in 2011, Chile have become a mainstay in the competition, qualifying for the past seven consecutive tournaments, as they have continuously improved, with a constant back-and-forth between the second and fourth place in continental competitions.

Spain have been one of the most consistent teams in the world of handball over the last decade, having won the IHF Menâs World Championship in 2013 and the EHF EURO twice, in 2012 and 2018.
Adding to those achievements, âLos Hispanosâ also secured bronze at the 2021 IHF Menâs World Championship, the silver medal at the Menâs EHF EUROs in 2016 and 2022, bronze at the EHF EURO 2014 and another bronze medal at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.

Not long ago, Algeria were a top team in African handball, winning the 2014 CAHB Men's African Championship. But then the results dropped for a while, as "Les Fennecs" failed to qualify for the IHF World Championships in 2017 and 2019.
However, the Algerians have somewhat bounced back in recent years. After a six-year break, they participated in the 2021 IHF World Championship in Egypt, where they won just one match, against fellow African team Morocco, but reached the main round to finish 22nd.
