The official draw for the Super Globe will take place in Doha, capital of Qatar, on 23 June at 18:00 (local time). The draw will be conducted by COC Chairman Leon Kalin. 

Those eight teams have qualified for the IHF Super Globe, taking place in Doha from 27 August to 1 September 2012:
1.    THW Kiel (defending champion)
2.    Al-Sadd club Doha (organizer)
3.    Al-Jaish club Doha (Qatar wild card)
4.    Metodista Sao Bernardo (Brazil, Pan-America) 
5.    University of Sydney (Australia, Oceania)
6.    Mudhar (Saudi Arabia, Asia) 
7.    Al-Zamallek (Egypt, Africa)
8.    Madrid (Spain, Europe)
