Details about the Torch Relay for the Rio Olympics in 2016 unveiled

As it has been tradition since the conception of the modern Olympic Games, the Olympic flame once again will be lit in the ancient city of Olympia in Greece and will travel across the globe in order to reach Brazil, the fifth largest country in the world.

The flame will arrive in Brazil between 90 and 100 days before the Games and will be carried for over 20,000 kilometres by at least 10,000 torchbearers. It will also travel for around 10,000 miles by air. The torch relay will be designed to reflect the "Brazilian Games" and it will have a new logo designed to represent the flame symbolizing the Olympic spirit and the warmth of the Brazilian people.
