Pescara, Italy hosts the first edition of the Mediterranean Beach Games, which will be held from 28 August to 6 September. The city on the Adriatic coast will welcome 910 athletes from 24 countries and three continents.

One of the 11 sports on the programme is beach handball. There will be one men’s and one women’s tournament, each of which will take place from 30 August to 2 September 2015 in the Arena del Mare.
