On 1 February 2017, the Brazilian Handball Federation (CBHb) held its General Congress to decide on the future of the federation.

Amongst others the Board of Directors was elected, with Manoel Luiz Oliveira being re-elected President. The board is composed as follows:

President: Manoel Luiz Oliveira

1st Vice-President: Ricardo Luiz de Souza

2nd Vice-President: Jefferson Afonso Cesar da Silva Oliveira
