The Handball Federations of Cape Verde, the Islamic Republic of Iran and Italy elected their new leaderships.

On 29 January 2017, Cape Verdean Handball Federation held elections with the following result:

President: Nelson Martins Jesus
Vice President: Carlos Alfama
Vice President: Nataniel Graça
Vice President: Idilton Brito
Treasurer: Adilson de Jesus M. Gonçalves
Secretary General: Moisés Pereira Semedo

I.R. Iran Handball Federation voted Mr Alireza Rahimi their President for the period from 2017 to 2021 on 7 March 2017 at its general assembly in Tehran.

In Rome, the Italian Handball Federation elected their leadership on 12 March. Until 2020, Mr Pasquale Loria will lead the federation.

On behalf of the international handball family, the President of the International Handball Federation would like to congratulate the Presidents of Handball Federations of Cape Verde, I.R. Iran and Italy on their election. He is assured that they will put all their energies into the further development of handball at both national and international level.
