On 15 May 2018, at 15:00 local time (UTC +3), the draw for the XIII Men’s and Women’s Beach Handball World Championships will be held in Kazan, Russia.

Men’s competition

Pot 1: CRO – BRA – QAT – ESP

Pot 2: RUS – HUN – OMA – IRI

Pot 3: URU – VIE – USA – AUS

Pot 4: SWE – DEN – ARG – NZL

 
Procedure

Russia as hosts have the right to choose the group they will compete in.

The following geographical criteria will be applied in the draw:

- No more than 2 teams from the Americas may be in the same group.

- No more than 2 teams from Asia may be in the same group.

- No more than 1 team from Oceania may be in the same group.

The pots will be drawn in the following order: Pot 1 - Pot 3 - Pot 4 - Pot 2 (decision of the Handball Federation of Russia)
