Sports, fun and education - Handball@School at the Culture & Education Program of the IOC

Shooting, throwing and catching: Hundreds of children and youngsters came to experience handball at the Culture & Education Program of the IOC, which took place on the fringes of the second edition of the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing.

During two days from 21 to 22 August, school kids from all over China had the opportunity to visit and be part of several Olympic sports, among them handball.

Under the auspices of Handball@School expert Milan Petronijevic (SRB), a team of 10-years old pupils introduced and taught with the help of four different activity stations, like shooting goals or playing mini handball, the basic skills of handball.

The combination of fun, education and sports made handball to one of the most attractive and most visited activity among the visitors.
