Women's Competition
Semi-Finals
In the afternoon session, the first semi-final saw a knife-edge thriller as Spain booked their place in the final after winning a lengthy shootout in the rain 14:12 against Norway.
Norway had won the first period 14:12 but the Spanish side showed mental toughness to fight back, supported by their male team and the Uruguayan female team.
Even though Hungary scored just two less points than Brazil, it was two too short as the world champions won 2-0 (14:13, 17:16).

Men's Competition
Semi-Finals
Croatia won their sixth match by penalty shots as they beat home team Hungary 2-1 (17:14, 21:12) and then 11:10 on the sudden death shots.
Brazil progressed through to yet another final as they beat Qatar in normal time 2-0, thanks to a tight first period win 19:18 and then an even tighter second period 16:15.
