Iran gets stronger and stronger

The longer this Men’s Junior World Championship lasts, the better is the performances of the Iranian team. In their first placement match for the places 9 to 16 they beat Algeria 36:28 and will now go for the places 9 to 12 – one of the greatest successes in the history of the Iranian Federation. The base for the victory against Algeria was put in the first half of the game, when the Iranian team started to increase their score from 9:9 (17th minute) over 15:11 (26th minute) up to 20:12 in the beginning of the second half. Iranian player Sajad Esteki performed an extraordinary match and scored 16 times.
