Tunisia – Macedonia 16:23 (8:11)

From Macedonian view this Women´s Youth (U18) World Championship ended with a happy end. After they have dropped out at the end of the preliminary round with only one victory out of five matches, they were successful in both matches of the President's Cup and finally won the decicive match against Tunisia clearly with 23:16. But until the final stages of the first half it was an encounter of two equal competitors (8:9 after 27 minutes). But in the initial stages of the second half the host of this tournament realized that they have good chances to be successful today, when they put the score from 12:10 up to 17:10. This was some kind of pre-decision, and the Macedonian girls kept this gap until the final whistle and were glad to get the trophy as winner of the President's Cup. Best scorer of the match was Macedonian Sara Ristovska, who scored seven times in nine attempts.

President's Cup (places 19/20)

Paraguay – Angola 29:28 (12:16)

Only with a clear improvement after the break, Paraguay could manage to prevail against the Angolan team and finally won the match for the places 19 and 20 with 29:28. The first half belonged nearly completely to the Africans. They startet overwhelmingly when they built up a lead from 1:1 to 8:1 in less than ten minutes. And Paraguay struggled until the final stages of the match. But then they turned the match upside down when they scored six times in a row from 22:26 after 50 minutes up to 28:26 after 55 minutes. Now the match was very tight, but Paraguay scored the last goal two and a half minutes before the end.
