Semi-Finals and 5-8 Placement Round schedule confirmed

With the completion of the quarter-finals of the 2018 IHF Women’s Youth World Championship late yesterday evening, the matches, times and location for the semi-finals and first round of the 5-8 Placement Matches has been confirmed.

Semi-Finals
17:30 Hungary vs Korea
20:00 Sweden vs Russia
Both semi-finals shall be played in accordance with the knock-out system. In case of a draw at the end of the regular playing time, after a break of five (5) minutes, a first overtime period of 2 x 5 minutes shall be played, changing sides halfway through with a one-minute break in-between. Provisions to the contrary set for individual tournaments shall be given priority.
If the match should still not be decided after this overtime period, after a break of five minutes, a second overtime period of 2 x 5 minutes shall be played, changing ends halfway through with a one-minute break in-between.
Should the match still not be decided after the second overtime period, it is decided with 7m penalty throws in accordance with Rule 2:2 of the Rules of the Game.
Placement Round 5-8: Day One
12:30 Spain vs Germany
15:00 Netherlands vs Denmark
No overtime will be played in the Placement Round 5-8 matches. In case of a draw at the end of the regular playing time, direct 7m penalty throws shall be used in accordance with the IHF regulations.
