The Handball Association of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea has informed the International Handball Federation (IHF) that it has withdrawn its team from the Tokyo 2020 Women’s Olympic Qualification Tournament, taking place from 20 to 22 March 2020 in Montenegro.

The IHF will announce the substitute nation according to the Regulations for Olympic Qualification Tournaments in due course.
