Korea, Denmark and Poland make squad changes

Two teams have made player replacements ahead of their Germany 2017 eighth-finals clashes.

Denmark coach Klavs Bruun Jorgensen has made his first replacement of the tournament with Viborg HK pivot Stine Bodholt Nielsen coming in for centre back Kristina Kristiansen. 28-year-old Nielsen has made 32 appearances for her country, scoring 83 times.

"We looked at what qualities we expect to be needed in the upcoming matches," said Jorgensen. "Kristina has been a pleasure to join the squad, but when Stine Bodholt reported ready, we had a player too much."

Korea have also made a replacement, their third and last of Germany 2017, with coach Jae Won Kang replacing right back Ji In Jung with pivot Boeun Gim. The 20-year-old Gim celebrated her birthday yesterday and was brought back into the squad after being replaced on Tuesday (5 December). She plays her club handball for Gyeong Nam Development Corporation.

Leszek Krowicki, coach of Poland, has made his second player replacement, with left wing Daria Zawistowska replaced by left back Joanne Kozlowska. The 22-year-old plays her club handball for GTPR Gdynia and has scored 11 times in 19 national team appearances.
