Match schedules for the IHF Tokyo Handball Qualification 2020 confirmed

The match schedules for the Men’s and Women’s IHF Tokyo Handball Qualification 2020 are confirmed.
The women’s events will take place in Spain, Hungary and Montenegro from 20 to 22 March, while the men’s will be held in France, Germany and Norway from 17 to 19 April.
Each qualifier is comprised of four teams. The two top-ranked nations in each qualifier will qualify for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo for the handball competition, played from 25 July to 9 August.

Already qualified for Tokyo 2020
Twelve teams are already qualified for the Olympic Games. As hosts, Japan are qualified in both the men’s and women’s competitions.
The reigning world champions, Denmark in the men’s, and Netherlands in the women’s, are also qualified. In addition, representatives of each continent have secured their places at Tokyo 2020 via continental championships and qualification events: Spain, Egypt, Bahrain and Argentina in the men’s competition; France, Angola, Republic of Korea and Brazil in the women’s.Â
