Four nations ready to compete in Hong Kong

From 10 to 14 July 2023, Hong Kong will host the Women's IHF Trophy Asia Zone 1A youth and junior competitions. The event serves as a qualification for the Continental Phase of the Women's IHF Trophy Asia.

The same four nations from East and South East Asia are ready to compete in the youth (U17) and junior (U19) tournaments: Hong Kong, Macao, Mongolia and Vietnam. The venue for the games will be Kowloon Park Sports Centre.

The format of both events is the same. From 10 to 12 July, both youth and junior teams play a round-robin tournament. On 14 July, the two best teams will meet in the final match, and the day before, the two other participants will fight for the bronze in the third-place encounter.

On day one, Monday 10 July, at the youth competition, Macau face Vietnam at 12:00 (local time), and Hong Kong play Mongolia at 16:00. The same pairs of teams meet at the junior event: Macao play Vietnam at 14:00, and Hong Kong face Mongolia at 18:00.
