Ticket sales for 2023 IHF Men’s Junior (U21) World Championship start today

Play the future – this is the motto of the 2023 IHF Men's Junior (U21) World Championship, which will take place from 20 June to 2 July 2023 in Germany and Greece. For the second time in history, the competition will be jointly organised by two countries, after Denmark and Sweden did the same in 1979. The German venues for next year’s event will be Hannover, Magdeburg and Berlin, while Greece will host the event in two suburbs of Athens, Palaio Faliro and Korydallos.

Starting from 15:00 CEST on Friday 23 September, tickets for all German venues will be available at www.playthefuture23.com and www.eventim.de. Tickets are available per session, and with a few exceptions, there will be two sessions (afternoon and evening) featuring two games each on each match day.

Swiss Life Hall in Hannover offers up to 4,200 seats for each session, GETEC Arena in Magdeburg has 6,300 seats, and Max-Schmeling-Halle in Berlin – where the decisive matches will be held, starting from the quarter-finals – has a capacity of 9,000 spectators.

“This World Championship opens the decade of handball and is an absolute highlight for young athletes. With the pricing and the family- and club-friendly throw-off times, we also want to enable the target group of young people interested in handball to experience the event live,” said Mark Schober, Chairman of the German Handball Federation.

All the information about the venues, tickets and discounts as well as general news about the 2023 IHF Men’s Junior (U21) World Championship can be found on the recently launched website www.playthefuture23.com
