The teams from four South Asian countries are ready to participate in the Women's IHF Trophy Zone 2 Asia, which will be held in the capital of Bangladesh, Dhaka, from 13 to 17 May.

Both youth and junior tournaments feature the same participants – Bangladesh, India, Maldives and Nepal. The winners of the competitions will book their tickets to the Continental Phase of the Women's IHF Trophy Asia.

The format of both events is quite simple: following a round-robin tournament, which will take place from 13 to 15 May, the two best teams will meet in the final on 17 May, and the day before, the two other sides will fight for the third place.

On the opening day of the competition, 13 May, the pairings are the same at both events, as India face Nepal and Bangladesh play Maldives.

All the matches of both tournaments will be held at s M Mansoor Ali National Handball Stadium.
