Therapeutic Use Exemptions in the focus of ITA’s next webinar
20 Jul. 2022

On Tuesday 26 July, the International Testing Agency (ITA) will host their seventh webinar in 2022. Between 14:00 and 15:00 CEST, the topic will be Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs).
ITA describe TUEs as “important aspect of anti-doping that athletes and their support personnel need to be familiar with and understand. TUEs authorize athletes to participate in sport while using a medication or method of treatment that is prohibited as per the World Anti-Doping Agency’s Prohibited List”.
Leading through this webinar will be former Olympian Olya Abasolo from the ITA Education department, while Dr Margo Mountjoy, TUE Chair, Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, and Pedro Gonçales, ITA Science & Medical Project Manager, will answer the most frequently answered questions like “Who should apply for a TUE?”, “Can I get a retroactive TUE?”, “What are the criteria for granting a TUE, and how long does it take?”, “Where and when can athletes apply” and many more.
At the end of the webinar, they will also take some time to address the questions of the attendees live.
As usual, the webinar will be conducted in English, with simultaneous translation into Spanish, French, Russian and Arabic available.
