Six countries in three continents on April education programme

April’s programme of travelling IHF courses will see three continents — Asia, South and Central America, and Africa — in focus, with six courses confirmed for the upcoming month.

Two courses will occur on the fringe of Men’s IHF Trophy events — one in Palmira, Colombia and one in Managua, Nicaragua. The course in Nicaragua will take place alongside the IHF Trophy — CA Zone (South and Central America), on April 16 to 20. Long-time Argentina national team coach, Eduardo Gallardo, who previously led the men’s team and currently coaches the women’s side, will run the course in Nicaragua after returning from the upcoming Olympic Qualification Tournaments. Julio Sainz from the USA will conduct the course in Colombia on the fringe of the IHF Trophy — SA Zone (South and Central America), from April 23 to 27.

On April 18, a D Licence Coaching Course will begin in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The course, which will be led by Professor Khaled Hammouda from Egypt, will conclude on April 23.

Two IHF D Licence Coaching Courses will take place from April 24 to 28 — one in Madagascar and the other in Zimbabwe. Alain Dessertenne from France will run the course in Antananarivo, Madagascar while Dr Zoltán Marczinka from Hungary will lead the course in Harare, Zimbabwe.

The April programme of confirmed courses will conclude in Oran, Algeria, where IHF Commission of Coaching and Methods member Paul Landuré from France and Bob Zermani from Germany will conduct an IHF B Licence Coaching Course from April 27 to May 4.

More information on the IHF educational courses can be found on the IHF website.
