Following the conclusion of the preliminary round of the 3rd IHF Wheelchair Handball World Championship, the four quarter-finals have been determined, with the matches played in the two arenas of the Dr Hassan Moustafa Sports Hall in 6 of October, Egypt, at 10:30 EEST and 12:30 EEST.

In the first two quarter-finals, Brazil, the reigning champions, who are unbeaten in the competition, will face India, who have lost all three matches played so far, finishing last in Group B, while debutants United States of America have the chance of reaching the semi-finals in the match against Chile.

Next, hosts Egypt, the runners-up in the first edition of the competition, will face Japan, in the most balanced quarter-final, while Portugal, who have won all three matches in the preliminary round, face France, the only team that did not seal a point in the first two days of the competition.
