One week to go until the third edition of the International Handball Week

The International Handball Federation (IHF) is pleased to announce the third International Handball Week, taking place from 12 to 18 July, as today marks one week to go until the celebration of the sport and everything that surrounds it.

The date, 12 to 18 July, pays homage to the official founding date of the IHF: 12 July 1946.

Throughout the week, handball and all of its disciplines will be celebrated and with theme days focusing on different aspects of the sport, we would like to bring you closer to the main shareholders in handball.

On the one hand, we take a look at the lives of players and coaches – the ones who write history with their activity on and off the court – while referees, who are pivotal to the game, are also featured in the spotlight, with several pairs talking about how they see handball and what are the challenges to maintain a constant level of performance.

A deep dive into how magical events like the IHF World Championship are created will also follow later in the week, as we will read about the efforts made by the Organising Committees to maintain the level of quality which was displayed throughout the years, while at the same time trying to create new memories with innovative campaigns and activations.

The IHF social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) will have plenty of content with some surprises for fans included. Stay tuned – you will not want to miss out.

It was thanks to the great efforts of the IHF Member Federations that, despite the difficult conditions of the past two years, the International Handball Week was a success. And now, the IHF looks forward to seeing the world unite in handball and celebrate once again as the whole handball community is encouraged to join the celebrations and share their International Handball Week activities on social media, using the hashtag #handballweek.
