Nouméa ready to host Women's IHF Trophy Oceania

Teams from five nations are set to compete at the Women's IHF Trophy Oceania, which is scheduled between 16 to 20 October 2023 in Nouméa, New Caledonia.

The winners of both the youth and the junior tournaments will qualify for the Intercontinental Phase of the Women's IHF Trophy.

Three teams, New Caledonia, New Zealand and Tahiti, will take part in the youth (U17) competition, while the junior event (U19) will have five teams, with New Caledonia, New Zealand and Tahiti joined by Australia and Cook Islands and ready to compete at the junior (U19) event. All the matches will be played at Arène du Sud (Païta).

The youth tournament will be held in a double round-robin format, so the teams will meet each other twice. On the opening day, 16 October, New Caledonia face Tahiti at 18:00 (local time).

The junior competition will be staged as a single round-robin, and on day one New Zealand meet Australia at 16:00, and Cook Islands play New Caledonia at 20:00.
