Day three at the Women's IHF Trophy Oceania, with four matches played in Nouméa, New Caledonia, was a deciding one in the youth age category.

In the youth (U17) competition, home side New Caledonia played two games during the day, and won both of them: 27:12 in the morning against New Zealand and 44:10 in the evening against Tahiti.

With the maximum of six points after three matches, the hosts have already secured the title. Tahiti, who are on two points, and New Zealand, who have zero points, will meet at 18:00 (local time) on Friday.
