Media accreditation open for 2027 IHF Men's World Championship Draw

Media accreditation is now open for the preliminary round draw of the 30th IHF Men's Handball World Championship, which will take place on 10 June 2026, from 17:00 CEST, at the Hofbräuhaus in Munich, Germany.

With 30 of the 32 participating nations now confirmed following the matches played in the European Qualification and the conclusion of the North American and the Caribbean Men's Handball Championship, the draw will determine the composition of the eight preliminary round groups for a tournament scheduled to take place across Germany from 13 to 31 January 2027.

Interested media representatives are invited to apply for accreditation by contacting the German Handball Federation at: [email protected] from today, 18 May, with applications accepted until 3 June 2026, 12:00 CEST. Confirmation will be communicated by email following the close of the deadline.

A media talk will be held at the Hofbräuhaus prior to the draw, with interview opportunities available in the mixed zone afterwards. The media talk room will also serve as a dedicated work area, and a photographer zone will be set up for the duration of the ceremony. Please note that live broadcasts of moving images of the draw - including via online media - are not permitted for rights reasons.
