Match schedule for the 2024 IHF Women's Junior World Championship released

The IHF Women’s Junior World Championship is set to take place in Skopje, North Macedonia, between 19 and 30 June, with three arenas hosting the 112 matches: the Boris Trajkovski Sports Center and the two halls in the Sport Centre Jane Sandanski.

For the second time in history, after Slovenia 2022, 32 teams from five continents are due to play in the 24th edition of the world handball flagship competition at this age category, as all of the teams will enter the fray on 19 June, when 16 matches are scheduled. 

The competition will be opened simultaneously in all three arenas, with the Republic of Korea facing Mexico at 09:00 CEST in the Boris Trajkovski Sports Center, while Hungary face Argentina at 09:00 CEST in the Sport Centre Jane Sandanski. One hour later, Switzerland face Tunisia in the second arena in the Sport Centre Jane Sandanski.

Hosts North Macedonia will face the United States of America in the last match of the day, scheduled for 20:15 CEST.

Eight matches are being scheduled in the preliminary round on both 20 and 21 June, with the final day of the preliminary round seeing all 32 teams back in action on 22 June, with matches played between 09:00 CEST and 20:15 CEST.

The two rounds scheduled for the main round are due to take place at 16:15 and 18:30 CEST on 23 and 24 June, as well as at 13:30, 15:45, 18:00 and 20:15 CEST in the Boris Trajkovski Sports Center and the two halls in the Sport Centre Jane Sandanski.

The four quarter-finals are due to be played on Thursday, 27 June, at 18:00 and 20:30 CEST in the Boris Trajkovski Sports Center and the two halls in the Sport Centre Jane Sandanski, with the other teams featuring in placement matches.

The semi-finals are scheduled for Friday, 28 June, at 18:00 and 20:30 CEST in the Boris Trajkovski Sports Center, while the last days sees the placement matches, the bronze medal match and the final played in the Boris Trajkovski Sports Center, with the champions being crowned after the last match of the competition, scheduled on 30 June, at 17:30 CEST.
