The latest edition of the IHF World Handball Magazine – Tech has been published, offering in-depth technical analysis of three events from the previous year: the 2025 IHF Men's Youth (U19) World Championship in Egypt, the inaugural 2025 IHF Men's U17 World Championship in Morocco, and the 2025 IHF Men's Club World Championship.

This issue features contributions from the IHF Game Analysis Team - Paul Landuré, Jochen Beppler, Salim Belmessaoud, Jorge Dueñas and Marko Šibila - coordinated by Dietrich Späte, Chairman of the IHF Coaching and Methods Commission (CCM).

The edition opens with a general analysis of the 2025 IHF Men's Youth World Championship in Egypt, compiled by the IHF Game Analysis Team of Paul Landuré, Jochen Beppler and Salim Belmessaoud, and coordinated by Dietrich Späte. In his accompanying piece, "Improving Quality in Youth Handball," Späte examines how technical and tactical standards are evolving at youth level, and what that means for the pathway toward the senior game.

A dedicated data study looks at attacking play in empty-goal situations across all 116 matches of the tournament, with the findings showing that while teams are not necessarily choosing to play without a goalkeeper more often, they are doing so with markedly greater effectiveness than in previous editions - sign of increasing tactical sophistication even at youth level.

Elsewhere in the Egypt section, Jochen Beppler revisits one of handball's most enduring attacking tools in "Crossings - Oldies But Goldies," analysing how crossing movements remain a decisive weapon in the modern game.

The magazine's second section is dedicated to the very first edition of the inaugural IHF Men's U17 World Championship, staged in Morocco. The general analysis, authored jointly by IHF analysts Paul Landuré, Marko Šibila and Jorge Dueñas, offers a comprehensive technical picture of this newest addition to the IHF's youth competition calendar.

The Morocco section also broadens the magazine's usual technical focus with a nutrition analysis by Laura Landuré, examining the dietary considerations specific to athletes at this age group. Rounding out the section, IHF analyst Jorge Dueñas explores the competition's adapted "five-against-six" attacking scenarios, assessing the educational value of the rule modifications introduced for the tournament.

The final section turns to the club game, with Dueñas providing a focused technical analysis of fast-paced attacking play built around two line players at the 2025 IHF Men's Club World Championship - highlighting how the tactical trends observed at international level are also taking hold in top club competition.

The new issue of the IHF World Handball Magazine – Tech, along with all previous editions of the IHF World Handball Magazine – Tech and the IHF World Handball Magazine, can be read digitally on the IHF Education Centre website.

The IHF Education Centre organises its learning materials into six categories - coaches, referees, teachers, delegates, a dedicated coaches' library for teachers, and a section on the sport's top players - covering everything from introducing handball to young children through to coaching and managing the game at the highest level of adult competition.

The teachers' section supports the Handball at School programme with teaching materials, adapted rules for the children's game, and 3D animations for visual instruction. The coaches' library is split into two age-based strands: handball for beginners, aimed at introducing six-to-12-year-olds to the sport, and basic training, for the 12-to-15 age group.

For higher-level coaching, the Education Centre's coaches section provides technical analyses of major events such as World Championships and the Olympic Games, detailed breakdowns of attacking and defensive tactics, and a tactics school covering individual, group and team-level play, alongside theoretical and practical material from the coaches' symposium. The players section, meanwhile, offers profiles of standout performers from major events and the sport's leading stars, including World Players of the Year, for the benefit of coaches, teachers and athletes at every level.
