Kosovo and Great Britain enjoy double success on day one of the IHF Trophy Europe

The Women's IHF Trophy Europe opened on Wednesday 11 October with three matches at the youth tournament and two games in the junior event. All the games were held at Sport Hall 1 October in Prishtina, Kosovo.
In the youth (U17) competition, seven participants are divided into two groups. In Group A, home side Kosovo proved too strong for Azerbaijan, winning 49:8, while in Group B, Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated Georgia 38:23 thanks to 10 goals scored by Neria Pintul, while Great Britain defeated Albania 34:18.
On day two, Bulgaria enter the competition in Group A, as their match with Kosovo is scheduled for 15:00 (local time). Besides, two Group B encounters will be staged: Georgia meet Albania at 11:00, and Great Britain face Bosnia and Herzegovina at 13:00.
At the junior (U19) event, the teams of Kosovo and Great Britain also enjoyed success on the opening day. Home team had the upper hand against Bulgaria (32:20), and the British side beat Malta 48:7.
On Thursday, Malta are set to meet Bulgaria at 17:00, and two hours later, Kosovo and Great Britain will face off in an exciting duel.
