ITA Webinars continue with key information about the coaches' role in clean sport

The International Testing Agency (ITA) continues its series of webinars dedicated to provide athletes with practical guidance and advice to give confidence and to fulfil all responsibilities regarding anti-doping measures.

The latest instalment in the series will take place on Thursday, 22 February, and will deliver an interesting theme, “A coach’s role in clean sport”.

Coaches, and other Athlete Support Personnel, who have a close and trusted relationship with an athlete have a significant and influential role in clean sport. Athletes rely on their entourage as a vital source of information and as a mentor. This requires an understanding of anti-doping rules and how they can positively influence an athlete’s values and behaviours to keep sport real.

The three panellists for the webinar will be Claire Lane, Clean Sport Education Officer for the UKAD, Benjamin Maier, a bobsleigh coach, and Dilhan Karac, who will moderate from the ITA Education Team.

This webinar will be highly interactive, as the previous ones, with the participants being able to ask questions and share their thoughts at the end of the presentations shared by the panellists.

All of the ITA webinars are conducted in English with simultaneous translation to Arabic, French, Spanish and Russian.
