ITA webinar to deliver new crucial information about testing
24 Feb. 2026
The International Testing Agency (ITA) will host a new edition of its monthly education webinar series, offering athletes and Athlete Support Personnel an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the anti-doping testing process.
Scheduled for Thursday, 26 February 2026, from 14:00 to 15:00 CET, the session is titled “Ask the Expert: Testing” and is designed as an interactive forum where participants can learn directly from an experienced testing professional. The webinar will be led by Richard Driscoll, an experienced Doping Control Officer and IDCO Trainer, who will share practical perspectives drawn from extensive field work. The discussion will be moderated by Mairi Irvine from the ITA Education Team.
Throughout the one-hour session, attendees will receive an overview of the testing process and its key stages, as well as concrete advice on what to expect and how to comply with anti-doping rules in practice. Participants are encouraged to submit their questions in advance via the registration form by 16 February, with additional time reserved for a live Q&A at the end of the webinar, making it a valuable opportunity to address specific concerns or scenarios.
As with all ITA education activities, accessibility remains a priority. The webinar will be delivered in English, with simultaneous interpretation available in Arabic, French, Russian and Spanish, ensuring that athletes and support personnel from around the world can fully benefit from the content.
Athletes, coaches, medical staff and other Athlete Support Personnel interested in better understanding the testing process and enhancing their confidence in anti-doping procedures are warmly invited to join this session and engage with the expert.
