From 22-27 December 2019, the 48th edition of the Handball Federation of India’s (HFI) ‘Senior Women’s National Handball Championship’ took place at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi.

Indian Railways took the title, eventually beating Himachal Pradesh in the final 35:31 (21:15) after they withstood a second half onslaught where they were outscored 16:14. The Railway side had won their semi-final against Delhi easily, 32:15, while Himachal had made the final match with a 41:31 victory over Haryana.
