IHF statement on the Denmark - Republic of Korea match at the 2024 IHF Women's Junior World Championship

Due to a strong hailstorm that affected Skopje on Sunday, 23 June, the match between Denmark and the Republic of Korea, scheduled for Group II of the main round of the 2024 IHF Women’s Junior World Championship, had to be delayed and the venue changed for the second half.

The generators in the Jane Sandanski Sports Center, hit by lightning, were also affected by the huge quantity of water which poured over Skopje for more than an hour and the power went off.

Despite the local organising committee doing their utmost to resolve the situation, power could not be restored and the decision to move the second half of the match to the Boris Trajkovski Sports Center was taken in conjunction by the IHF Competition management and the two teams.

Therefore, the second half of the match between Denmark and the Republic of Korea (19:12 at half-time) is due to start at 20:45 CEST  in the Boris Trajkovski Sports Center.
