IHF mourns the loss of former CCM lecturer Effat Rashad

It is with great sadness and sorrow that the IHF has learnt of the passing of the former IHF CCM Lecturer and Egyptian trailblazer Effat Rashad, at the age of 75 years old.

Mr Rashad dedicated his life to handball and was a lecturer for the Commission of Coaching and Methods at the International Handbal Federation, as well as the chairman of the Coaches’ Commission and the Technical Commission at the Egyptian Handball Federation. He was also the acting president of the Coaches' Commission at the Arab Handball Federation.

A true trailblazer of the sport and a great handball afficionado, Mr Rashad had been working for the Egyptian Handball Federation since 1999, after featuring as a player and as a coach for over 30 years.

On behalf of the entire IHF handball family, the IHF President, Dr Hassan Moustafa, would like to express his deepest condolences to the family and friends of Effat Rashad and all of those who worked alongside him.
