IHF Beach Handball Education Week to conclude this weekend

The first of the 2023 IHF Education Weeks courses, the IHF Beach Handball Education Week, will conclude this weekend with two more lectures to come after a successful run of previous webinars, which began on Monday.

So far, participants in the IHF Beach Handball Education Week have learned about the latest trends in attack, the preparation of a national team on the way to a top event, the latest trends in defence, injury prevention and the importance of long-term athletic plans with transfer periods between beach and indoor, goalkeeper behaviour inside and outside the goal area, and special situations.

The lectures are presented by top beach handball experts from around the world. Participants have so far heard from Europe and North America, and the trip around the world will continue with the final lecture on Sunday to be presented by Luiz Filipe Caldas from Brazil and Pablo Martinez Isola and Tato Monico Ottado from Uruguay. On Saturday, Polish trio Agnieszka Skowronek, Sylwia Bartkowiak and Weronika Lakomy will share their insights on two-point goals.

The programme for the last two days of the IHF Beach Handball Education Week is as follows:

Saturday 20 May
Two-point goals (spin and in-flight shots), presented by Agnieszka Skowronek, Sylwia Bartkowiak and Weronika Lakomy — register here

Sunday 21 May
Six-metre throw + punishments, presented by Luiz Filipe Caldas, Pablo Martinez Isola and Tato Monico Ottado — register here

Registration is still open to join the sessions on Zoom, where participants can ask questions for the Q&A portion of the webinars, as well as access translation options (French, Spanish and Arabic). The lectures are also streamed live on the IHF Facebook page.
