With handball fans around the world asking; “more handball please”, the International Handball Federation (IHF) has developed an app and a number of games to bring fans closer to the game, and for Egypt 2021, there are a number of ways to be directly involved in the event from wherever they are in the world, including voting for the best player of the match!

The Official IHF App - Handball at your fingertips
The IHF launched its official app in 2019 and it has since become a permanent fixture on smartphones and tablets of the global handball family.

With the aim of bringing fans closer to the sport, the official IHF app provides a crucial link between what is happening on court and those watching from afar.

The official IHF app provides the latest handball news and results from tournaments, events, National Federations, clubs, players, coaches and the IHF itself from across the globe. Everyone can stay connected to their favourite teams with live coverage of every IHF international tournament including articles, photos, match highlights and more.

You can download the app via the Apple Store or Google Play and create your own profile to receive alerts about the tournaments and news which matters the most to you.

For all 108 games of Egypt 2021, fans who have downloaded the app and created their own profile, can cast their vote for one of three nominated players when a match has five minutes left to play.

Photo filter
Want to see what you look like with a gold, silver or bronze Egypt 2021 medal or the trophy itself? The photo filter function allows you to do that. Or why not put yourself in one of the selected nations’ shirts, or even appear with one of the handball stars on show at Egypt 2021 and beyond? Share your best photos with us on the Fan Photos page on www.ihf.info.

Fan Photos
On the Egypt 2021 ihf.info mini-site, you can show your support to the players in Egypt by uploading and sharing your own unique in support of your favourite teams and players at the championship, to appear in a unique Fan Photos media gallery.

To be part of Fan Photos and show your love for handball is very simple:

1. Visit HERE.
2. Click on MY PHOTOS.
3. Click on ADD PHOTOS.
4. Enter a title that best describes the photos i.e. ‘Showing our love for Cape Verde in Egypt’.
5. Go to ADD A NEW FILE and then CHOOSE FILES.
6. Valid image formats are: JPG, PNG, JPEG.
7. The maximum upload file size is 10 MB.
8. Multiple photos can be uploaded.
9. Uploaded photos will then be subjected to approved by the IHF Portal Content Editor before they are displayed.
10. Once displayed, share the photo with fellow fans, friends and family!

Please note – you must be the owner of any photos uploaded, and once submitted, you cede all rights of its use to the International Handball Federation.

All visitors to the page can browse and download, in high resolution, fans photos uploaded by registered users.

Registered users of ihf.info can remove their own uploaded fan photos.

Beat the Goalie mini game
Challenge your offensive skills against the goalkeeper in augmented reality! Set the augmented reality (AR) with your device first then select your game mode. The two game modes allow you the chance to beat the goalie in different ways. Aim for goal in the shots based game mode but remember, you only have five chances to score. Or, increase the excitement and score as many goals as you can in one minute in the time based game mode.

Be a Manager game
Go to ihf.info, click on the games tab at the top of the page and look for Be a Manager. During Egypt 2021 – and every IHF competition – you can select your handball dream team and play against other users. Choose your team, follow the matches and climb in the ranking!
