It is with great sadness, that the International Handball Federation has learned about the untimely passing of Jordan handball player and national team member Adel Bakr Attari, who passed away on 8 November 2022 after suffering a heart attack during a Jordan Cup match between his team, Kufranja, and Al-Salt Club, which took place on Monday, 7 November.

Despite a rapid intervention from the doctors present at the game and the subsequent transportation to a local hospital, Bakr Attari, sadly passed away on Tuesday, 8 November.

The Jordan Handball Federation announced the suspension of all handball activities for three days in mourning the death of the late Adel Bakr Attari.

IHF President Dr Hassan Moustafa joins those mourning the loss of Bakr Attari on behalf of the IHF and the global handball family and expresses his condolences and sympathy to his family and loved ones in this difficult time.
