The capital city of Croatia, Zagreb, welcomes the 12th edition of the IHF Women’s and Men’s Beach Handball World Championships this week when the opening matches throw-off on Tuesday 23 June.

All 32 teams (16 women’s and 16 men’s) will be in action on the first day as they aim to stand at the top of the podium on the shores of Lake Jarun after six action-packed matchdays (23 to 28 June).

Handball fans across the world can follow the event across all four courts via the IHF YouTube Competitions Channel (geo-blocking restrictions will apply for some territories).

In addition to the live stream, the IHF Media Department is working hard to bring you the very best from what is sure to be an exciting week of action and wherever you are, there are many ways to follow.

The 12th IHF Men’s and Women’s Beach Handball World Championship will be staged in Croatia from 23 to 28 June 2026. The event will be hosted on the shores of Lake Jarun in Zagreb and feature a total of 144 games.
