There is only one day left until the start of the 2024 IHF Women’s Youth World Championship, when the top 32 teams in the world will enter the fray with their eyes firmly set on the big prize – the world title – currently held by the Republic of Korea, who won the gold medal two years ago, at North Macedonia 2022.

32 teams (17 from Europe, 6 from Asia, 4 from Africa, 3 from the South and Central American Handball Confederation, 2 from the North America and Caribbean Confederation) are taking part in the competition and all have now entered the final stages of preparation before throwing off the 2024 IHF Women’s Junior World Championship.

The 24th IHF Women’s Junior World Championship will start on 14 August in Chuzhou, the People's Republic of China, with a 32-team line-up, the second edition with this number of themes. All matches will be played in the Chuzhou, with three arenas, the Chuzhou International Handball Hall (a capacity of 7,000 seats), the Chuzhou Olympic Sports Center (6,488 seats) and the Chuzhou vocational and technical college stadium (3,600 seats) ready to welcome the sides. The final day will be 25 August, where the podium will be confirmed.
