Executive Committee meets in Gothenburg

The IHF Executive Committee met today (30 June) in Gothenburg, Sweden for their 7th meeting in this electoral period ahead of the Extraordinary Congress and the XXXVII IHF Ordinary Congress.
Besides the preparation of the upcoming Congresses, a number of topics were on the agenda, starting with an overview of the events in North America and the Caribbean and South and Central America in 2018 and 2019, followed by a presentation of reports on the first edition of the IHF Women’s Super Globe in PR of China, to be held from 1 to 4 August 2019, and the IHF Men’s Super Globe, which will be hosted by Saudi Arabia later that month from 27 to 31 August.
After the auditors’ reports of the past year and the budget for the upcoming two years were presented, several courses and meetings were discussed. First, a report on the IHF Course for National Coaches in Republic of Korea  was presented, followed by a report on the IF Gender Equality Forum 2019 organised by the International Olympic Committee. Finally, the meeting between the IHF and the Arab Handball Federation was discussed, which was held in April to take a closer look at the handball situation in the Arab region.
