France will face Denmark in the final, which means that Denmark have qualified for the Paris 204 Olympic Games, as the winners of the 2023 IHF Men’s World Championship are automatically qualified, and France are the host nation; the place goes to Denmark in any case.

“We are very excited and proud that we have managed to qualify for the Olympics already,” said Denmark coach Nikolaj Jacobson to ihf.info from the airport in Gdansk, where his team watched France defeat Sweden to book their final spot and ensure Denmark qualified through to Paris 2024.

“It’s a good sense of security, and it will definitely be a good motivation for the players to look forward to. So, it’s huge to be qualified one and a half years ahead. It gives us peace to work. Now we don’t have to go and play some stressful qualifiers. Instead, we can spend the time to build on what we are already well underway with now.”
