Coming up: Plenty of action in a packed February

January has surely been a month to remember in handball as the IHF Men's World Championship grabbed the headlines with some excellent matches at the 28th IHF Men's World Championship.

Of course, after the world handball flagship competition ended on 29 January with a superb final between Denmark and France, with the Scandinavian side taking their third gold medal in a row, there might be a sense of withdrawal as Poland/Sweden 2023 boasted a 112-game card.

Don't worry, though, as the month of February still has some excellent competitions in store on all continents.

The first tournament will be the 3rd AHF Women's President Cup, the competition formerly known as the AHF West Asian Women's Handball Championship, due to take place in Amman, Jordan, between 1 and 9 February, with four teams at the start – hosts Jordan, India, Kuwait and Iraq.

The 16th edition of the Mediterranean Women's Handball Games will also be held in Nafplion between 27 February and 5 March, a competition in which U17 teams will participate.

At club level, the group phase of the Men's and Women's EHF Champions League will finish, with the last two matches of the women's European premium competition taking place in the first two weeks of February, while the last week of February will host the last round of the Machineseeker EHF Champions League.

Moving on to beach handball, the Australian Open Beach Handball Club Championships are set to be played between 23 and 26 February, while the Campeonato Internacional Beach Handball Camana 2023 will take place in Peru between 9 and 12 February.
