Central American men ready for regional challenge

The SCAHC Central American Qualification for the 2022 Men’s South and Central American Championship gets underway at Polideportivo UPNFM in Tegucigalpa, Honduras today.

Costa Rica (CRC), El Salvador (ESA) and hosts Honduras (HON) will battle it out not only for regional honours – the winners of the championship will qualify for the 2022 SCAHC Men’s Championship in Recife, Brazil next year, where SCAHC continental qualification places for Poland/Sweden 2023 will be up for grabs.

Teams in Tegucigalpa will play each other once in a round robin system, with the nation finishing top of the group moving on to Recife 2022. Following the conclusion of the championship, awards will be given for the best overall player (MVP), top scorer, best goalkeeper and All-star Team.
