Both Indian teams boast perfect record in Dhaka

The preliminary round of both youth and junior competitions of the Women's IHF Trophy Zone 2 Asia finished on Monday 15 May, so now the time for the crucial battles has come.

India have been dominant at the youth (U17) tournament, winning all three matches. On day three, they beat home side Bangladesh 43:33, while Maldives proved too strong for Nepal (42:11).

India finished with the maximum of six points, Bangladesh have four, Maldives two, and Nepal zero points. In the final match on Wednesday, India face Bangladesh at 14:00 (local time), and the day before, Maldives meet Nepal in the third-place game at 14:00.

The junior (U19) event has so far followed the same pattern. India and Bangladesh, who had booked early final tickets, faced off on day three, and the Indians were entirely dominant, winning 60:18. In the other match, Maldives defeated Nepal 25:10 and ranked third after the preliminary round.

Maldives and Nepal will meet again in a bronze-medal match at 16:00 on Tuesday, and on Wednesday, India and Bangladesh will fight for the title at 16:00.
