10 Oct. 2023

The maiden edition of the IHF Women’s World Championship ever to be hosted by three different countries is just around the corner, with the final preparations being put into touch in the six venues which will host the competition from 29 November to 17 December in Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
From today, Tuesday, 10 October, there are only 50 days left until the start of the competition, which will be the second edition of the IHF Women’s World Championship with 32 teams at the start, after the first one was Spain 2021, two years ago.
Two cities from each of the three countries – Herning and Frederikshavn in Denmark, Stavanger and Trondheim in Norway, and Gothenburg and Helsingborg in Sweden – will be the hosts of the competition, with the opening matches taking place in the DNB Arena in Stavanger and in Frederikshavn’s Arena Nord on 29 November.
The six arenas are currently getting ready for the 112 matches scheduled, while nearly all the teams involved will be taking the courts over the next week, either in the Qualifications for the continental competitions, but also for a place at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the case of the four African sides which will be involved in the African Olympic Qualification this weekend.
Tickets are also available on the official website of the competition, aimtoexcite.com, with the interest being sky-high for the competition, especially for the final weekend in Herning, where almost all available tickets have been sold out.
Volunteers have also been pouring in with applications for the competition, with a few places still available, according to the official website of the competition, which has still some spots available for volunteering at the 26th IHF Women’s World Championship.
