The eight participating teams and match schedule for the second stage of the 2026 IHF Beach Handball Global Tour (BHGT) have been confirmed.

Płock, Poland is the host city for the second stop on the world circuit this year with the stage taking place across two matchdays – Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 June.

Five nations will be represented at the Old Market Square location in the Old Town, with the men’s and women’s teams of the host nation joined by those from neighbouring Germany and Czechia. France’s women and the men of North Macedonia complete the line-up. 

Płock is the debut of France, Czechia and North Macedonia on the IHF Beach Handball Global Tour. The 2026 edition started with stage 1 earlier this month in Zagreb, Croatia and was won by Portugal’s women and Croatia’s men.

The winners of the stage will automatically qualify through to the Global Tour Finals Stage to be held later this year.

“We are now entering the final stretch and will use the tournament in Plock to warm up,” said Alexander Novakovic, Germany women’s coach, to dhb.de about the stage acting as a warm-up for the upcoming IHF Men’s and Women’s Beach Handball World Championships in Croatia a few weeks later.

Alongside the games, the Polish Handball Association, in partnership with the Modern Sport Foundation, Płock City Hall, Marshal's Office of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship and the PERN Foundation, have planned a variety of other events, including youth tournaments, children's sports camps, and exhibition matches featuring the BHT Petra Płock team.
